Ygal Cohen
Managing Partner & CEO - Portfolio Manager

Ygal Cohen founded ASG Capital in July 2008 in Miami, USA.

Before founding ASG Capital, Ygal spent over twelve years working for various Wall Street firms including Prudential-Wachovia Securities (Senior Vice President- Investments), Wells Fargo Securities (Director-Investments), and Jefferies Inc. (Senior Vice President- Investments).

Ygal is in charge of Portfolio Management. He is specialized in Credit instruments including Preferred Securities, Subordinated Debt, Hybrid Corporate Bonds and Private Lending.

Steven Groslin
Partner - Portfolio Manager

Steven Groslin joined ASG Capital in January 2014.

Before joining ASG Capital, Steven spent over thirteen years trading Fixed Income for the Natixis Group, prior to that Steven spent six years in Fixed Income securities lending for Tullett Prebon and Refco Paris. 

Steven is in charge of Portfolio Management and is specialized in Credit instruments including Preferred Securities, Subordinated Debt and Hybrid Corporate Bonds.

Fabien Tabouret
Investment Adviser Representative
Buy Side Analyst

Fabien Tabouret joined ASG Capital in 2019.

Before joining ASG Capital, Fabien worked for eight years in various accounting positions within large international shipping groups.

Fabien is an Analyst at ASG Capital and ASG Bridge and works with the Portfolio Managers on all aspects relating to the credit analysis and deal underwriting process on the Private Lending side and on all aspects relating to the Fixed Income portfolio management.

Caroline Sebaoun-Cohen
Investor Relations & Marketing

Caroline joined ASG Capital in October 2016 as in charge of International Business Development.
Prior to ASG, Caroline worked over six years at Jade Associates, a US CPA Firm based in Miami, in charge of Accounting and Taxes for Individuals and International Corporations.

Caroline has a Bachelor Degree in French Accounting and Finance in Paris, France (DECF), studying at Ecole Supérieure de Gestion et d’Expertise Comptable (CPA AND FINANCE SCHOOL).

Steven Thomas
Chief Compliance Consultant

Steve was for 8 years the Chief Compliance Examiner for the South Dakota State Securities Division and was for 4 years Director of Compliance Services for RIA in a Box / Lexington Compliance. SGL Financial, LLC lured Steve away from Lexington in July of 2014 to provide Chief Compliance and Chief Operations Officer duties. Mr. Thomas now also provides dedicated and specialized compliance services to a limited number of state and SEC registered investment advisory firms through Thomas RIA Compliance, LLC. As a state regulator and compliance consultant Mr. Thomas conducted over 450 office compliance audits including routine and for cause investigations. Steve’s diversified background as a securities salesperson, state securities regulator, RIA chief compliance officer and compliance consultant allow me to provide compliance and business operations guidance from a unique perspective.

Jonathan Labranche
Legal Counsel for ASG Capital & ASG Funds

Labranche Law is a seasoned business law firm based out of Los Angeles, California, specialized in assisting issuers, underwriters, investment banks and investors in public and private offerings, compliance requirements and statutory exemptions from, federal and state securities laws and other securities related transactions.

Jean-Marie Bettinger
Non-Executive Board Member & Strategic Advisor

Since several years, Jean-Marie is an AIFM & ASG Dynamic Income Fund UCITS Board Member and a Strategic Advisor for Private Equity firms.

Prior to that, he exercised his expertise for multiple companies such as Ocorian Group, IQ E S.A or Experta Corporate & Trust Services S.A.

Jean-Marie is married with 4 children, speaks fluently French, English and German. He has a Master’s Degree in Private Law from the University of Metz, France and is based in Luxembourg.
